Melbourne progressive death metal band Growth began as a study in isolation by brothers Tristan (guitars) & Nelson Barnes (drums), after a decade's absence from each other while overseas, joined by Luke Frizon (ex Jack The Stripper) on vocals. The debut album The Smothering Arms of Mercy, out December 4th 2020, is the first part of a concept album trilogy about recovery from mental illness, connection, trauma, despair, and the fragility of hope.
